I also keep general main folders that have CAS and BM inside them such as a modern one or a historical one, that way I can simply swap those two and I wont be loading cc that I wont be using. The best way I've found to keep them organized is to have every single script/gameplay mod or any mod in general in the main mods folder, that way if the game breaks you have a shorter list to check, and then depending on how you play you can start adding subfolders with some main categories, the two main ones I have are CAS and BM and as those folders grew I divided them into batches, which is just the amount of files that I could possibly manage without feeling overwhelmed by the overall amount in a single folder, this is usually 300-500 files for me. Also recently I've started to put a text document with the link where I downloaded it from)Ĭategorizing cc by author/category is wildly inefficient and very unnecessary, imagine having to create an entirely new folder for only one package simply because you downloaded cc from a new author or a new tag. Mods break too often so I like to keep it as clean as possible to make it easier. I make sure the creator is listed on the package and script files so it's not "cluttering" up the title when I'm trying to debug issues (don't read this in a bad way, I mean so that I can easily see what is there without additional information when I'm trying to quick read. But also it's easier to fish out problem mods when I can just take them out one at a time.
